On June 28, 2011, I took a trip to Flushing Meadows, New York. I went there to look at the remains of the 1964-1965 World's Fair. Today, only two parts of the fair stand-the New York State Pavilion (incl. Theaterama , Observation Towers, and Tent of Tomorrow), and the iconic Unisphere...these are the modern ruins from a great time only 46 years ago. While all of the other countries and states moved their pavilions to other locations, or dismantled them, these structures were left, isolated from their time. And desolated.
