more Greek dancing at the Dora Stratou Theater in Athens, summer 2007

Some of the guys' costumes at Dora Stratou included pointy shoes with fuzzy balls at the end. Too bad these guys didn't get to wear them, b/c they were pretty fierce. Same goes for the kilt-like things they were wearing.

  • The dance comes from eastern Romilia, now belongs to Bulgaria. Greeks and Bulgarians claim about the origin of this dance. The truth is somewhere in the middle. The two people live for many centuries like neighbours and have many commons, in the tradition as well.

  • god dora straou has falling so down...this is weak dancing...again no such thing as tsestos...u dont see this done like this in the villages...and what these gusy are trying to do is copy villagers who used to live in what is now bulgaria they became exiles durnoing the 1920's with the exchanging of the races...
