@waynealexsmith One more thing... This Canon has a mic INPUT. I don't know why but this is extremely hard to find in any pro-sumer camera under $1000.. -never mind one in the $200-300 range. Big advantage.

Hello, I was just wondering, I make video's for YouTube. I've seen allot of camera's and have I keep coming back to this, I was really wondering If I got the video camera and uploaded them onto the PC, Is it possible to edit them straight away in Windows movie maker or do you have to 'Convert' them to something else?

@nmgh101 depends on what you are looking for this is less portable but has better quality so it really depends on the uses

I'm planning to buy my first camcorder. I was thinking of the canon fs200 or the Canon hf r100...(that's how far by budget can go) this review helped but I would appreciate if you could also say something about the r100. Do you think the r100 is good cam. I saw some reviews and they say it's not that good for its price. Thanks.

.MOD files can be watch directly on a newer computer running windows 7 with co conversion required. How do I know this? I tried it.
