@MrFLExin people have picked and chosen what they wanted from the holy books for centuries. You always see a hardliner, who for example hates the gay man, saying 'I dont pick and choose, I live my life the way the bible says'. And yet they have picked and chosen- they chose to believe the part about hating a queer rather than loving your fellow man. Even Jesus said love your enemy! But they conveniently forget that!

@Jimmy911ism yeah, "mecca" in that context means a place where loads of ppl from a particular group go, rather than the actual city. the metro station was described as "mecca for scuicides" coz a lot of ppl who go there want to kill themselves. she said that the mecca for scuicide bombers was the actual city of mecca, implying that a lot of ppl who go there i.e. muslims, commit scuicide bombings

@xPyroxx i guess u could say islam is more mental than christianity, coz of rules like never drawing allah and having to pray all the time. but on the whole, christians are way more insane than muslims. but i completely disagree with u saying they were built on the basis of blood shed, that's ridiculous. if anything they were established with the intention to deter conflict, look at the 10 commandments. i don't blame religious conflicts on religion, i blame them on crazy fucking people.

i'm never offended by anything but i can see why muslims might be bothered by this. it's not the joke itself, coz it's not like it was a genuine opinion, a joke is a joke. it's the fact that terrorism and suicide bombings and all this negative stuff has become so closely associated with islam. although they're just jokes, it wouldn't occur to ppl to say them if islam wasn't associated with terrorism. i wouldnt want a community i was part of to be associated with stuff like that

Don't judge religion by bad actions from a minority of people. Have a brief look into Islam and the Quran and you will find no contradictions or mistakes. If you do , then it was created by humans.
