Best parts of the original show are when the eva is going berserk on the angel, puts her arm back and devoures the shit out of it.
The other par tis that epic ending with Asuka finding out about the eva and her moms' spirit and fighting the other eva series things.

So end od the world stuff then? Guess that's one world the Gundams should avoid. I know I will. Just keeping on flying by..that planet earth is doomed.
But I'll give Evangelion a chance and watch it maybe. I want to see that EVA roar and wreck up everything.

@Hakkun9872 Evangelion is best described, in my opinion, as beginning as a monster-of-the-week affair similar to early episodes of Bleach. But then it gets crazy, and doesn't make a lot of sense until you watch End of Evangelion. And even then you might not quite get it. Lots of symbolism, lots of screaming, some more symbolism with giant bloody explosions of death and mayhem and Armageddon.
