The ULTIMATE Samsung device has arrived! This video covers the different versions of this handset, its specifications, start-up time, software, browser, video playback, how the Samsung Galaxy S 2 (II) X T989 performs in direct sunlight and a list of small things to keep in mind.

Running Android Gingerbread 2.3.5 with TouchWiz 4.0, an 8MP camera with autofocus & LED flash, a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon CPU, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory, this behemoth was an honour to review.

The Galaxy S II X is also referred to as the:
"Samsung Galaxy S II LTE" (Rogers Wireless)
"Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket" (AT&T)

  • Hi, I'm very pleased to see this review! But I need help in deciding which phone to buy.

I wanted to buy the Samsung Galaxy Nexus (Google Phone), but when I saw this phone, I loved that it had a 8 MP camera, now I'm confused to which to buy. Galaxy Nexus has 5 MP and this phone has 8 MP. Please help me choose a phone that's good and a phone that YOU would recommend, Thank You! Plz reply!!

  • @stronguy20 Hello! PLEASE don't make a decision based on the camera resolution! Both cameras are *very* good (there are sample videos here on YT you can check out). I would look more at performance...and in this case, because ICS (Android 4.0) is still young and still has some noticeable quirks, I would personally go with the GS2X. But remember, the UI on both phones are very unique. My friend, if I were you I would compare both of the reviews and try to choose one that would suite your needs.

  • hey, love your video, i have a question, are all samsung phones with sim card slot able to use both in canada and china? thanks

  • @togetherandforever Hi! This depends on the carrier/company you are with and assuming you unlock this phone first. The GS2X supports GSM and HSPA/LTE frequencies. So in China, if you are with China Mobile or China Unicorn, you are fine since they use the GSM network. China Telecom on the other hand uses CDMA, and will NOT work with this phone. Cheers!

  • HI wireless Insider. I really enjoyed ur review. If i get this phone from Rogers, not on a LTE network itll work on 3G yes?

    -thanks

  • @arjunsecondary Hi! Yes, that is correct. If LTE is unavailable, or if you use the phone with another service provider, it will fall-back onto the 3G or even 2G network (it has both sets of frequencies). Cheers!
