I didn't know about Blackjack, but I knew Bolton rocked in 1983. I have that album on vinyl. On this song I can hear his Soul sound of the 90s. 1979 had Foreigner, Cheap Trick, AC/DC, KIss, Journey. Too much competition for this band to break thru.

@crazydrn Totally agree. I haven't hear their 2nd LP, but the debut is super superb. Bolton's voice here is so killer, just a great band. Bassist Jimmy Haslip was also a member of Tommy Bolin's band before Blackjack. :-) Oh, perhaps my fave tune from this band is "Countin' On You."
