@thelittlemind I asked how it fucked them up and you couldn't answer with anything except more rhetoric, that generally means you don't have a real example but are making shit up.
That's fucked up kid, lying about something just to prove some kind of point. You are so brainwashed it's disturbing.

@DriscolDevil ... omg im saying this from what i have seen... if i see the majority of my friends have their lives ruined then hell im going to call out the source.. this maybe be different for you.. i said this to someone else but it depends on your background which decides you opinion on legalization

@thelittlemind How did it "fuck them up?" That's like saying we should make TV illegal because I have seen people get fucked up by it. Seriously they lost their jobs and killed themselves.

I wish I could have smoke a joint with the Professor and ponder the mysteries of the Universe as we puff away!

@Mike254h please point to me where it says in the constitution that in this free country you can do w/e u want.... a "free" country by your definition is anarchy... every goverment type besides anarchy will limit or restrict your freedoms in some way
-
@HajtomY everyone comes from a different background i guess
-
@DriscolDevil i fully understand that.. but you need to also understand from my viewpoint.. i have seen weed fuck up some of my best friends... and i want to agree with you on legalizing but i just do not see the + side of it besides something the gov can tax a huge amount on

True that. Carl's point here is terrific too. It's perfectly in keeping with medical ethics: When you have someone who's terminally ill, the risk allowance for treatment increases. But ironically, since marijuana is so low-risk (similar to other safe anti-nauseants like, say, pepto-bismol) but also so effective at suppressing nausea, the argument for its use is that or many other contexts becomes overwhelming!

@icarus313 yea i actually can relate to that. but the beauty about freedom and weed is that if u dont like it, you simply don't smoke it.

I agree in principle, but this isn't true for everyone. Unfortunately, my experiences with marijuana have all been negative. I find the feeling it produces to be very unpleasant and even a bit frightening. It weighs very heavily on me. I wish it made me laugh. It's never done that for me. Not once. It actually makes me less relaxed and more agitated, even after trying it more than once. Everyone tells me it's so great, but for me, it just isn't. Kinda sucks, but w/e...
You have to remember, the government ran a long smear campaign against marijuana in the 1920's/1930's (reefer madness). Unfortunately the children of that time have now grown old, are running our country, and have a firm belief that marijuana will make you want to kill people, turn you into a woman, and eat babies. In reality, it will make you eat and laugh, and that's about it. Alcohol is absolutely worse in every way.

There are two things standing in the way of marijuana legalization. The public who wants it to be illegal, and the dumbasses who project the public persona of a useless, shiftless moron, upon which the public fear of the drug is based.
