Of all of Andy's hits, this is the one I think he did best. Too bad he died at such a young age (30), he had more to do.

Ahhhh such memories of Andy performing this beautiful song on A Solid Gold Christmas. Seems like only yesterday. We were sitting in front of the Tv watching this never to be fogotten episode of Andy. Thank you so very much for sending it to me.

Yes my friend, how time flies! I will never forget the day I first saw Andy; my heart awoke and got all shook up! What a wonderful man and what a lovely experience to watch him performing time after time. In this New Year, I hope he will continue to fill our hearts with warm and happy thoughts of him. By the way, thanks for mentioning it was a Solid Gold performance as I wasn't sure until now. Best wishes, Nikka

Why was he not a member of the Bee Gees????

There was the fact that his brothers were pretty much settled in their career and with an age difference of more than 10 years it seemed better to launch Andy solo. Also a commercial interest from Stigwood's side (his manager)eventually lead to his solo career as it would definitely enhance his success as well as RSO's. Andy never discarted the possibility of joining his brothers though and this has been often discussed publicly but Andy died before even making up his mind about it.
