Guys, he has a slight lisp. It's cute. He's gay. When he sings, he sounds different than when he speaks. It's who he is. There's nothing wrong with it. I stutter. It's cute. I'm bi. I sound different during singing and talking too. It's natural. Get over it. Rufus is amazing and always will be. That's all we need to focus on.

Whatever...man's got the best hair of anybody in 20 years, but he couldn't seem to pull off a decent note with that Fisher Price microphone! gotta love it..:) he does have a slight lisp, but i can't imagine Rufus without one.. makes him sound sweeter and more gentle. He doesn't often sing with it either, but I like the rare occasions when he does. Just part of who he is.

If you guys sit and think about it.. Everyone's singing voice sounds different than their speaking voice.. Elongated words are of course, going to sound different than the average, spoken word.
Just thought I'd point out the obvious like everyone else has done, but with mine, there's a hint of rhetoric.(;

Why is it that this guy always looks unwashed? So many people today have that dirty hair look going on and scratching themselves during an interview.

So, you're telling me there's no difference between his speaking voice and his singing? Yeah, I'm also pretty preoccupied about the jobless and underprivaleged.
I'm just saying.

I am not sure if there is such a thing as a 'straight' voice. But don't worry about people's voices. Or what they choose to do in bed. There are far more important things to be preoccupied with: jobs, health care and pollution.

omg! I love how his singing voice is so ridiculously different than his speaking voice. Would never suspect that those two would belong to the same person.
