It looks that way - Chicken Curry is more commonly made with yogurt (or sometimes coconut milk) and tomatoes...
the Creme fresh is a new idea I had not heard of (but it sounds great!)

This recipe we did to be more simple and for the low cost, because we know if it's too complicate the people don't do it.
