With a little help from my unforgetable friend ATHOS (10/17/2008 - 05/15/2011), between 2:48 and 2:52 minutes...lol... (you can see him better in another vídeo mine: "My Friends Apolo e Athos"), This is me in a version (without the hiss and feedback from my other similar previous video), of my small tribute to big master Santana, accompanied by the sound of the my lost Tape Deck Band, my old Fender Californian 1976 model, and a compact pedal Digitech RP 80. I hope you can better enjoy it... thanks to all.
The Tape Deck Band was formed in the fall of 1998, on the outskirts of Porto Alegre, a small capital of southern Brazil. When Little John invited the rhythmic guitarrist, Joca Motta, from inactive band "The Laras', to form a group, creating and recovering from the public, music that marked times of success, both internationally and in Brazil, under the influence of immortals, type The Beatles, Creedence, Pink Floyd, Santana, Eagles, Dire Straits, Peter Frampton, Marmalade, Eric Clapton, and many other highlights of the music world. Then, at the invitation of Joca Motta, joins them with, a third musician multi-instrumentalist Paul Jewel, from the band's "Radical Chic," which takes on the bass. The group then begins to rehearse the repertoire, and to seek a permanent drummer ... meanwile, numerous drummers playing sporadically with freelancers...
Time passes, and the trio Little / Joca / Jewelry evolve naturally, but the band still lacks an effective drummer.
During the first half of the 2000s, due to this lack, the group works in the studio, with a few live performances. In 2007, join the band now the keyboardist Luis Gasparone, and The drummerTulio Costa, which take their places aboard the Tape Deck Band, which forged in other musical influences, they print a new identity for the band. Unfortunately, in mid-2008, Joca Motta leaves the group.
The Tape Deck Band follows, with works of recordings, rehearsals and recordings of original compositions and interpretations, until the spring of 2009, when it dissolved indefinitely, according to other professional commitments of its members. A shooting star, Tape Deck Band, anyway, it reaches its lofty goal, where the "rehearsals" of his musical message, reach everyone who so dearly, if they have to honor the legacy of this little "ghost group" and perhaps contribute therefore, our dear old and troubled world.
