@1997FordProbeGT I can't remember since it's been a while, but I imagine I shifted at redline for all shifts, or the later shifts might have occurred 500rpm before redline.

I think this header sounds alot better than the pacesetter header that you have a vid of.

whats a Edelbrock Honda Civic STS?
DavesDefault123456 2 years ago
Edelbrock (the aftermarket performance parts manufacturer) makes a Short Throw Shifter (STS) for the Honda Civic, and I think the years are '88-00 if I'm not mistaken. Since STSs for Probes are a fair amount more expensive than Civic ones, the Probe community tried using a Civic one instead and it fits like a charm.

thanks man, well i was on auto anything's website and found everything i might need; a magnaflow catalytic converter, injen intake, and k & n air filter. I own a 98 maxima, i love car audio, been installing for a while, got a badass system myself, but I just now really got into engines so im a bit of a newbie there lol, but i just want a boost in hp, and a slight import tuner sound, and i wanna get faster acceleration on a budget of less than $500, do u think i will need to buy anything else?

I think with what you have there, you'll be pretty close to $500. If there's some breathing room, I would add a short throw shifter, not so much for performance, but more for improving the quality of driving the car. It's so night and day, it's not even funny. Save some bucks and buy a Honda Civic shifter ('88-2000) from Ebay. Virtually the same as the Probe ones available, but far cheaper, and installs just the same.

where did you buy hotshot headers? i found hotshot's website, but they do not have a purchase link there....please let me know, thanks

Hotshot as a brand no longer exists, as I think they went bust after the knockoff designs of their products ate up their customer base. First, understand what Hotshot headers look like (main characteristic: short primaries), then search for that style on Ebay. Virtually the same design as the actual Hotshots, close to as good build quality, hundreds of dollars less in value.
