Very nice looking and it projects the intention at a distance. Not quite sure I like several of the gentlemen marching and prancing like horses, but other than that, what a smashing performance! XD

"What a fren-zied mo-ment that was!"

striker--i know what you mean. Perhaps it's a theatrical thing where stoic faces wouldn't read from far away, the way it does on screen.
But yeah, its the solemnity that makes the "I have never been so keyed up" line so hysterical.

good call!
I mean... "Mm-yes. Quite."

Black Ascot-I wondered why the costumes looked so dark! I thought it was lighting.I especially liked the grand old lady sailing across stage in her wheel chair.

I just saw this production on tour and this scene is still hysterical even though they are all in black. The reason for that is that the revival is set in 1910, the year of the famous "Black Ascot" when the country was in mourning for King Edward VII. That little tidbit is explained earlier in the show. The video here does not do the costumes justice...they were so elaborate and gorgeous that I didn't mind that they were not in black and white (which I still do prefer)
