One of the videos I created for my Individual Oral Presentation for World Lit. HL for the IB program.
Based on the character of Leopolda from Love Medicine by Louise Erdrich; a vid I played in the backdrop as I read entries from her 'diary'.

Song:
"The Stars are with the Voyager" Eleanor Daily

Pictures:
Most obtained from Flickr. A large amount are by Molly Rapp.

  • yeah, i was thinking that just the movie would be super confusing. a little intro, and conclusion with main points. less talking in front of class and being nervous!

the only problem is, i have no clue how to edit the movie and put in my own dialog! oh well, it will be a learning experience.

thanks! your support means a lot, even though i don't know you, haha!! the support of a fellow IB-er. :)

    thank you.

i will try to post it on youtube!

  • :D

Well, I hope it all really works out for you, I do!

And I'd love to see it once it's finished. ^_^

  • yo

  • wth does this have to do with WL?!

  • Ive got my IOP tomorrow im soo nervous. im doing it on how Percy Shelley presents nature in 'Ode to the West Wind'.

  • haha. well, my presentation went ok, but i never did get the video working. i just didn't save myself enough time. so i cannot show it to you, chick.

but thanks for your help along the way!

  • thank you!

  • Oh, no! I think that's the cutest thing ever. I love it. I actually think that's totally ingenious. Wow! I feel like mine doesn't compare with yours. ^_^ I really do think that's a brilliant idea.

Also, I think a summary after the whole would help clear things up, and also (My teacher kept saying this) after the whole movie scene, in the summary to talk about a little of the author's intentions relating to the self-sacrifice you'll be doing.

Not silly at all! I like it!

  • ok, well, now you will think i am silly. however, i was thinking i could take the scenes from the last lord of the rings movie with frodo and sam. i would re-write their original lines with my own. my lines would be the characters talking about their shared desire (caucasian characteristics). the Ring would symbolize their true selves that the characters sacrifice by wanting to change themselves.

  • I'm not entirely sure what you mean about comparing the ones on the screen.
