90% of my calls are 1) old person sat down and can't get up out of the chair 2) drunk person wants a ride someplace 3) drunk street person wants a free meal and place to sleep (hospital) 4) fake domestic violence call where no one is injured but the woman wants the man out of the house 5) "migraine" that needs demerol but not sumitriptan 6) drunk teen chick who can't face parents so she says she was "slipped a roofie" 7) old person who is lonely 8) fat person can't sit up off the toilet

I deal with this crap also, but I hear of other counties nearby me are actually calling the police on these people and getting them fined or arrested. I think we all need to push for this type of action.

Back in the day we used to tell these kind of ass-holes to pack sand. Now the department charges for transport so we have to transport them and hear a load of shit from the nurses for bringing these Gomers in to the ER. I now feel like an over trained cab driver.
