@thone2008 This seems untrue: The term Maccabees as used to describe the Jewish army is taken from the Hebrew word for "hammer". Also, Mecca is much older than the book of Maccabees. Plus the muslims believe the Kaaba to be a millenium older than Solomon's temple. So, an etymological connection seems unlikely.

well perhaps. but then you have denominations like mormans, Seventh day adventist, Jehovas Witness, Westboro baptist church popping up. All claiming to truly follow Christ. Now, all of these have large differences. A protestant might say on they dont follow the bible, but they can equally say that back at you. There must be some Parameters on intrepreting the bible, but who sets these standards? Martin Luther? Or perhaps the Church that has been given authority.

I dont think any of you should be judging anyone first off especially other denominations Christians shouldnt fight about doctrine they should work together againgst the common good but ya all are too concerned on whos right who wrong denominations man made no has it 100% correct not even the catholics not even the protestants and I am catholic and I dont think being catholic means your souls saved I dont think God cares what denomination you belong to

@rederama1 Muslims are united? Really?! Are you forgetting the Sunnis and Shi'a groups that like opressing and killing eachother in Iraq and Iran? Not to mention the multiple other smaller groups, movements and sects - some that are more moderate and others want to blow stuff up. Islam is just as fragmented as Christianity.

As for the collapse of Christianity - read revelations. There be hard times ahead!

yah there there may be 35,000 protestant sect, but you guys are not united. for sure there will be other protestant sect that would go on the side of the TRUE CHURCH FOUNDED BY CHRIST HIMSELF.
