Like an onion.
The intermissions are descriptions from the Wikipedia article for matryoshka dolls (and Wikipedia was properly cited - Hachi asked about this on Twitter). The first just takes from the Japanese one, but the second throws in some of the alternate-language versions, too.
I am so glad to see Hachi can still make awesome PVs himself, you have no idea. (...Now will he go back and fix Lynne's? Uh, I mean...)
I misread that line as "da ze" instead of "dase," so I made it "This is SONG!" when it should be "Show me your song!" (Or for a bit of a compromise, "BREAK INTO SONG!")
For anybody interested in doing a cosplay or something of that nature, the official word from Hachi on Miku and Gumi's lower halves is... "I leave it up to you." You know, I somehow knew he'd say that.
NOTE: I've created alternate, singable versions of the lyrics available on my lyrics page below. I also redid the subtitles with said lyrics and made the Aegisub file available at the page below.

(PS. Let it be known that if you think this song is about Miku and Gumi stressing out over being Vocaloids or otherwise believe the title to be totally irrelevant, I won't say you're wrong... but I won't like you very much.)
