@ChrisRenucci Airline-industry is about money, big money..most of the "old"carriers
like KLM,air union(air france)imperial airways(Boac british airways) were originally transporters of maila nd if there were extra space, a passanger or two..this was the fact untill world war II..the airline got a lot of money for transporting mail(subsidies)
and continued to live like that..Today its another world..how to compete against ruthless Ryanair who have no passion for aviation and make tons of money.
@ChrisRenucci American also have lousy service,Cathay pacific has "tradition"
owned by Bagdad jews, british management & pilots, asian cabin-staff...most people ask themselves how much does it costs and is it worth the monney???
Emirates is a formidable succes story and I don t think that the bedouin owners would spend their personal wealth to maintain tradition..the french taxpayers aren t asked..its a matter of "gloire" and the agressive unions of air france.
@ChrisRenucci That was a new one..french are very arrogant managers and even worse when they work in service-industry, what you tell about heart can be translated into, cannot face competition, are used to the old days of 1970S..I fly Emirates any time over Lufthansa who themselves admit that they cannot offer the service that asian airlines provide. My native airline SAS also had tradition, old
great first class..today they feed Lufthansa in Frankfurt, and Ryanair can buy Lufthansa any day.
@ChrisRenucci Driving an airline cost money and airlines are businesses, except when they are state owned european dinosours that eat taxpayers money to maintain "traditions"..Greece also maintained a state-owned airline Olympic airline
with tradition, lousy service and losing money for 35years.
Why don't you just watch it at the Air France website Media Center?
