hey whats the wig base made of? Im trying to make two wigs for a photoshoot with my friend, i made a terrible one, and how did you attatch the wool onto the headpeice?

@GizzboonJelliclecat The wig base is made out of control-top pantyhose. I've cut off the legs and sewn the opening together after folding it in half 2 or 3 times, and that forms the cap. The wool gets attached with hot glue, it's nice and sturdy.

Oh, thanks that's really useful! I have a couple of questions though:
1. How do you attach the ready strips of wool to the base? Do you sew them on or just stick them with hot glue?
2. What base can I use?
3. Do you use any "product" to keep the hairs in place? Or when making the ears?
Thank you so-so-so much!!!

1) I attach the crepe wool with hot glue (though I sew it along the middle onto the ear flaps)
2) Control-top pantyhose makes for a great home-made wig base.
3) Hairspray is a must when I finish styling a wig or right before wearing it, just as you'd hairspray your hair to keep the style longer. Sometimes I use tacky glue to hold the tips of the ears together, since that's a little more lasting, but it's possible to wash it out with shampoo if you need to restyle the ears.
