why did tibet not have a modern army to defend itself? China invaded and occcupied Tibet. there is no justification for it but tibet's leaders are criminally incompetent for not ensuring tibet had a modern army.

I grew up in China and had been brainwashed by the news and propaganda. The so called Chinese pride is just a political method to unite the people in the political China. People in Tibet may not relate to the majority of Chinese people. Therefore thinking that Tibet should be free does not equal to I don't love China. I used to say that the first thing you do if you love China is to love the Chinese Communist Party, now I can see more clearly as an outsider and see how I had been fooled.
