  • A grabbed quarter is typically just a superficial injury that happens very often. Prado likely had no idea that Nicanor had injured himself, just that the horse didn't feel comfortable. At no point was Nicanor in danger of breaking down due to a minor scrape.

  • Given this was his first outing he has much to learn and am sure he will mature on from this race! (I hope so!!) We all have to start somewhere and being the full younger brother to such a famous horse is a MASSIVE handicap in my (ever so humble) opinion!!!

  • I think something happened in the gate that made him finish bad... not serious just a little thing, but that is what I heard

  • Prado earned the honor!!!Nic has done well since that . .

  • Man, Nicanor, you didn't fo so good! *laughing out loud!* Better luck next time bud!

  • yeah I know weird. wish he would stop raving on about how who is a good/bad jockey etc..

  • no propably not. its to late in season. but if hes good enough, he could run in the breeders cup.

  • if hes 3 now will he run in the derby this year?

  • Yes!

  • was Edgar Prado onboard?

  • Nicanor you are the best I wonder if your brother Barbaro was with you when you were racing. I hope that you will feel better soon Nicanor. I love you and your brother Barbaro. Good luck next time. You rock.
