Everybody seems to prefer Barbirolli's recording to this one but I like her playing here better. Am I nuts?

@charlieyoung1988 in fact, my former cello teacher (he is a professional cellist) said that Jacqueline fell ill because her practice was very heavy, which is unsurprising if you want to reach such kind of world-level of cello playing....

Fu Cong is a Chinese and I have enjoyed his performance in my hometown city. I will neither pride nor criticize about the book which was written by Jacqueline's brother and sister, as wells as that film about Jacqueline's life. I just want to say that as a genius person, Jacqueline had suffered extremely pain in the last years of her life. A genius person's life could not be evaluated by physical time, only by his or her spirit value. Like Jacqueline, will influence the world for a long time

Maybe music over drafted her body seriously, she devoted all her life into her cello, the music completely. I am ashamed that for a long time I even didn't know her until I heard from that Yo yo Ma's cello is one of Jacqueline's cellos. He is an ethnic Chinese and also is a honorary professor of Wu Han Music school, which is very near my home. And there is another musician called Fu Cong who witnessed Jacqueline's friendship and love with Daniel Barenboim in London.

I have watched three Jacqueline Du Pre' s 3 complete documentaries, and I even cannot bear to compare the young Jacqueline with the old one. In one of the film, in front of the camera she smiled and even laughed, so excited playing the cello, a lovely and pretty girl, no, she is a genius girl. While her world changed dramatically. In another film she looked sickness, even could not talk fluently, sitting on the wheelchair...it was just several years before she past away forever.
