RIP RED... RIP PETE...

When I listen to Red it is like hearing my own coach shouting at me and my teammates how exactly to do everything. Good, I miss all the shouting, the drills, good times.

I think Red was thinking of signing Maravich to the Celtics when doing these tapes because he appeared in them more times than all the other players. Red would eventually get an older Pete Maravich who was towards the end of his career and used as a reserve off the bench. He still had some skills though.

ALSO, Pete Maravich grew up in RALEIGH, NC, the home of NCSU and his dad was the coach at NC State at the time FOR RETARDED REASONS the 'UNC' system that ran colleges said Pete was not eligible academically to play for the Pack!!! LOLOL... I wonder sometimes how much backhanded justice UNC has put on NCSU! Anyway, SOMEHOW Pete was eligible at LSU!!! AND they got NC State's coach in the bargain. Luckily, NORM SLOAN was awesome too and landed David. SCREW THE 'UNC' SYSTEM! WE MADE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

AWESOME... The Pistol and David Thompson! Also, very cool that Redd mentioned it was IN FACT David Thompson with Monte Towe at NC STATE who 'created' the alley oop, now a fixture in basketball all over the world. The term 'alley oop' came from DT and Monte's days at NCSU and no one ever used it more effectively. NC STATE WOLFPACK BASKETBALL IS LEGEND. The Everett Case trophy for the acc tourney... NCSU! Case made North Carolina and Duke. Without him, no one would have cared. Now, sadly, we suck!
R.I.P both of them
