Actually, those are Warr guitars. Sticks don't have a body (except for the NS/Sticks, but those don't have a head).
-
just to clarify....it's not a sitar, but a saz.

-
ah mae gracias! thanks for replying
-
El instrumento en 0:40 es "el saz"
it's called the Saz, it's from the Middle East somewhere
-
how about "big fuck-off guitars"? or like, "grand piano guitars"?
-
there's not particular difference between a warr and a stick, so let's just stick to 'touch-style guitars' or 'tapping-guitars'
-
actually you dumb ass they have quite a lot ancient but you probably do not know how to look at pictures or read
-
This is a bit crude (though powerful) for Trey and the band - check out their work on the 'Live Encounters' and 'Untune the Sky' albums. Might shed some light too on the debates below about the instruments etc...
-
Warr guitars are exactly like sticks, but their bodies allow you to play them on your lap, horizontally.
-
Awesome, this is the kind of bands Id like to watch and listen more,, innovative in their music style and in their choice for instruments, two Warr guitars and a sitar!! wow!!,,, anybody knows what is the guy at the left using to play the Warr?
-
The guitar is called a "chapman stick". Combination guitar and bass but played like a piano.
is that guy playing a shamisen? or is that some arab guitar
deathmetalmaster 5 years ago
it's no shamisen. it's an instrument called "Saz", but it is very similar to the shamisen in the shape so I can the cause to confusion...
