Hello, Everyone this is Bezells From TheGowForums.com, I'm here today, to talk to you about TGF's first Gears of War 2 Tournament. So First i would like to answer questions, that i would guess would be frequently asked.

1. What kind of tournament is it.

The Tournament is a Gears Of War 2, 2v2 tournament.

2. How many teams may attend.

There is no limit on the amount of teams who may partcipate.

3. Is there a prize.

Yes there is a prize.

4. How much does it cost to get in.

Nothing.

5. How do i register.

First off you need a partner. Once you're clear on who your partner is, both you and your partner must register at thegowforums.com, After registering, one of the two of you must register your team into the tournament. The way you do so is simply by going to the category on the forum that says "Official TGF Tournaments" and go to the Gears Of War 2 2v2 tournament registeration threads. Further instructions will be found inside of that thread. The basic information required, is your forum name and your partners forum name, you and your partners gamertags, and your team name.

After the tournament kicks off, you may not change your partner, also if you do change your partner before the tourney kicks off, your new partner, if not registered must register on the forum, because if they don't when discovered your team will be automatically eliminated.

If any team is caught cheating, that is an automatic elimination. Cheating may prevent you from playing in any other tgf tournaments as well.

Now that i have that explained, lets get into the main thing you all want to know. What is the prize. Well just so you know, we have an guranteed prize, meaning no matter what happens, the winning team will recieve a prize/their prize. The current prize is 3200 MS points. Which comes out to 1600 ms points per player. That is the current guranteed prize, we're also looking into getting gift cards. Visa gift cards, gamestop giftcards and ect.But we do have a main prize established and it is guranteed. Please remember the tournament is free entry, meaning no price to get in.
