It would have been nice if the tip would have included mention that the hook or some kind of washer needs to be placed on the screw prior to putting the toggle bolt into the wall so that the screw doesn't simply fall through the hole in which is created by inserting the toggle bolt.

Do I need to make sure I drill between the wood pieces( called lathes I think?), or can I just drill anywhere I want, like he appears to?

Thanks Ron. Believe it or not, I needed to use toggle bolts to affix my toilet paper holder!

@dagvc1 True but Snaptoggles are very expensive, great for using on a saltwater boat since they are stainless though.

I just found that EXACT same mirror in a dumpster dive the other day. Thanks for the video!

Whenever you wire anything, always loop the wire through the mirror hanger (you call them "straps") twice. This is the standard practice for picture framers.
Thanks Ron...I like this for my 8, 18llb mirrors. Do you think it's a safe method. They are 5foot tall my 2 ft wide. Just glass without frame but they have a wooden frame on the back. How many would you use on mirrors of this side and would you use more than 2? Thanks Bling.

Yes, you can use the toggle bolts. I would use two per mirror to help prevent tipping. However, an even better way to hang eight mirrors perfectly level is to use some thing called a French cleat. Go to Amazon and do a search for Hangman Products HM-18D Heavy-Duty Mirror Hanger. This device is strong, easy to use, virtually tip-proof and keeps the mirror close to the wall.
