great jazzy-rock feel to this number !!!

All time Rock Group = Jimbo on vocals, Hendrix on guitar, Syd Barret on bass, Moon on drums. Hella epicness

@igottheblues1 is there such a thing as "the best guitarist, best drummer, best singer, best drummer ever?"
-
saying that densmore was one of the best drummers ever is going a little too far don't you think? ever heard of john bonham, buddy rich, gavin harrison, jojo meyer, virgil donati, benny greb, david garibaldi, terry bozzio, steve smith, dave weckl, vinnie colaiuta, steve gaad, ginger baker,etc.etc.etc....actually he wasn't even in the top 1000...but the doors were great for the particular sound they had (and jim's lyrics) and he was adequate in that band

@7294smk Buck Owens, Merle Haggard, and Dwight Yoakam, all are from the Bakersfield area, a.k.a. Nashville West.

He was still singing good but he was playing fucking Bakersfield. WTF
All of us Doors fans need to rise up and say LONG LIVE THE LIZARD KING.

John's role was of ultimate importance in the band; Jim knew it, and that's why he repeatedly insisted on John returning upon their mutual quarrels. BTW, John always stresses that one rule to the fellow drummers: "Oftentimes less is more, pauses are important just as the notes". I like his approach, it was very unique, and to tell you the truth even though I'm a huge fan of many rock groups, John's drumming is set on Top 3 in my personal book.
