Alpine County Chamber of Commerce Markleeville Death Ride HD

2011 Markleeville Death Ride. I shot about an hour of video on my hand held camera. Edited down to this 10 minute video. It took over three hours to up load this in HD. The edits are a bit quick due to YouTube's 10 minute limit. I tried to get everyone in this one video.
Had some problems with the camera. Lost some great shots from the start going up Monitor. Sorry folks.
This is the last year the organizers will allow registration transfers. Managed to get a last minute ticket.
Thank You to Pat in my Peninsula Velo club for giving me his ticket to ride and make this video possible.
I'll post a longer version with the out takes later, so check back or subsribe.

Thanks Stan. It was a hard ride. The last two miles up Carson was very painful. Excellent video once again.

You did an incredible job of capturing the spirit and characters of the day. I reached the top of Carson only moments before you and regret not taking more videos of it. When someone asks me what the Death Ride is like, I will just show them this video. Thanks.
