I stumbled into the John P. McGovern Museum of Health and Medical Science somewhat by accident. I was planning to spend the whole day at the Museum of Fine Arts, but then I saw this other museum across the street from the Houston Garden Center where I parked my car. I got in from the back when a lady opened the door for me.
She told me to go to the front desk, where you pay $7 to get in. At first I thought I'd exit thru the front and continue on my way, but then I saw all these puzzles and games in the lobby. I got hooked and decided to instead spend the day there. The interactive exhibits, health trivia, and games are very good, and can entertain both children and adults. Although I did not pay the $7 fee, I did buy a shirt from the gift shop. The $7 would have been worth spending though.
