WTF-6:12!!!!

I have a question will this process due for rectangular pans? Or is it more accurate for circle cakes.
-
I don't like to use that towel.....it leaves the middle not so cooked as you can observe.....and the sides too wet.

um QUESTION: Did you leave the towel on while u baked it?
xoxouristaxoxo 1 year ago
@xoxouristaxoxo Yes, the wet cloth will help keep the edges of the pan cooler, so the whole cake bakes more evenly in the oven. There are also commercial baking strips for this purpose.

what size is the pan?? and where can u get crisco??
boratjose 1 year ago
@boratjose The large pan is 10" in diameter and the smaller pan is 8". Both pans are 2" high. This was a large cake, and was probably enough for about 40-50 people. I used three batches of cake batter (recipe shown in video description link).
Crisco is just vegetable shortening, so you should be able to find a comparable brand at any supermarket.

Crisco is a brand name for vegetable shortening. It's a solid white paste at room temperature and made by hydrogenating vegetable oil. For the cake release mixture, vegetable shortening is preferable over butter because it does not need to be refrigerated, and will not alter the flavor of the cake. Good luck!
