SSBB Character Expose: Diddy Kong and Toon Link

In this video, I showcase how Diddy and Toon Link work, including their move properties and some strategies that might be incorporated into their eventual metagame.

I made this video on the Japanese game before the US release, so there is still much to learn about these characters. I'm sure these videos will be obsolete in a year!

This video features my good friend Psyrell; now with more Luigi plushie cameos!

Notes about Toon Link's (or any character with a dive kick) d-air: if you're launched upwards in Brawl, but use a move that sends you straight down, they will "cancel each other out" and you either won't move vertically at all, or you'll move according to your previous trajectory. If you do it twice in the air, though, the second time you will dive kick properly.

Unfortunately, I wasted a lot of time trying to set up Diddy's spike. Whenever I try playing with the camera running, I always have this problem. I kind of look like a scrub in the middle for a bit, so sorry about that!

the wall of pain is when you knock an opponent off the stage and then u jump off the stage and attack them again before they can recover. people like kirby,jiggly,dedede,pit,and meta knight are very good at this

Diddy's side B is one of the best moves. It has top priority and if you out from the suface and you need to get back you can use it if the other player is standing there and attacking. For example: On player spams A smash you you get get to the field without being knocked away again, use side B to attack and your opponents attack is less priority then yours so you get back to the field and hit your opponent :)
