  • The only reason a Unified Korea will exist is if China sees a re-militarized Japan as a threat, and wants to use Korea as a regional counter-weight against the slightest prospect of Japanese militarism in the wake of U.S. decline in East Asia. The only thing can unite Korea is unfortunately the mutual hatred of Japanese by Koreans and Chinese.

  • Of course Koreans will unite and pull it through. Why? Because they have a solid built foundation of who they are as a people. They take pride in their identity and culture.

  • let me just tell you something you dont understand. The first thing getting in the way of reunification is the U.S.A , the LEADERS of North Korea do wants reunification, of course you say "democratic" as in Puppet states of the U.S.A ( south korea ) which in no way North Korea give in to white leaders.

  • Not Seoul, I think Panmunjom should be the capital and it should be renamed Arirang City. And their anthem should be the Arirang. Seriously listen to it, its really beautiful!!

  • I just dont see it happening. I truly love your ideas but unification would come at too high of a cost. The U.S. would have to be involved becuase of pressure for obvious reasons such as economic and military interests. Japan and China would also keep pressure on the US so they can protect their interests. War would breakout and I for one just dont think its worth a world war 3.
