Im from the south and I'm not a redneck hick like most people think of us to be. Sure, there may be some small parts of the south where a few people might act like that. But seriously, keep it real.
The North is still fighting the civil war. Southerners (whites) are still the butt of jokes and stereotyped as dumb hick rednecks to perpetuate a negative attitude toward the South. The media wants to keep them in a comical view so no one will take them seriously. Like "Larry the Cable Guy" and that Jeff Dunham puppet that portray southerners as inbred white trash idiots. Appalachian Americans are REAL AMERICANS, they are patriotic, and when it comes down to it, THEY will save this country.

Being a Southerner, I find this commercial highly offensive. Why is it that we Southrons are still allowed to be America's Punchline?

They should have given all three coasts a stereotype instead of just the Gulf Coast, would have been funnier.
