This recently discovered German Expressionist film was made by my grandmother Sharon Sandusky in Berlin in 1917. Only five minutes remain of the 20min film that was part of a German Expressionist subgenre know as "vampire trance movies." These movies were meant to transform their audience into vampires. While only five minutes long, "Really Dead" has already brought 12 people into the army of undead. It stars German silent film stars George and David from Stations.

  • Love the music, from Piazzolla!

  • haha. well i love your stuff. and (needless to say) your nephew is quite a funny dude.

  • where are the other 1 1/2 minutes at?

  • this is a found footage film - meaning that the pieces are taken from different films and put together in a certain way, with added audio.

  • This was a classic little piece of art. The background music chosen for this definitely enhanced the aura of the film.
