@musiqwizzard I understand that ...i come from a college marching band of 350 plus, with a large brass section......so our drumline usually has to play slightly louder so we can feel that pulse. I totally respect your comment. Most individuals would of taken that the wrong way. I wasn't trying to offend or anger anyone if i did

@mchstrojan It's not competition with the band... You have to use musicianship when you have melodies and counter melodies everybody can't play loud... In this sense the drumline is the pulse and not the voice... It's not a drum cadence it's a band song... That's how we're taught at asu and everyone you see play in the symphonic/concert, brass/wind/percussion ensembles, to be better musicians and learn how to accompany each section... I took that mindset to my church and it helps
