Jabba is a 15 year-old Morgan gelding, standing 15 hands. Morgans are one of the earliest (and finest) horses developed in the United States, stemming from a founding bay sire named "Figure" owned by Justin Morgan in 1789. You've surely heard of General Philip Sheridan or General T.J. "Stonewall" Jackson? Well, both of these gentlemen rode Morgan horses into battle, and it wasn't because there wasn't anything else to ride. These horses have a noble carriage, upright graceful neck, a distinctive head and expressive eyes. Morgans are intelligent, sound of limb, athletic and have lots of stamina. An easy keeper, Jabba is trained in trail riding and neck reins beautifully. He's flashy and strong, so we need him to go to a rider who has a dominant personality and isn't easily intimidated by his presence (he's a chunky monkey and proud of it). If you can handle that, then THIS is that historic, great-riding head-turner you've been looking for. He's a healthy guy who is ready to saddle up and go wherever you want to take him!
