@kabardinka1 Maybe for the older generation its offensive. However, just about ever transsexual under 30 or so uses it an just about every "tranny" I know is not offended by the word. And even if people try to use it in a derogatory manner, I'm not offended. Another word I'm not offended by is "shemale" I know a lot of t's are offended by that, I honestly just don't see it that way.

"tranny" is like the N word, only trannies can use it knowing it wont be taken out of context.

I have to disagree. "Tranny" is used against transwomen to take away their womenhood. Historically, it's never been used as a term of derision against transmen. Most transwomen find it offensive. It's one thing for a term to be used sarcastically between members of a community, but for cis-people (including LGB peeps) to use "tranny" is offensive. And I find the idea about a "word having power over you" is usually used by people who aren't members of the community being insulted. Just sayin'.

I personally am VERY offended by the word "tranny". I'll have to politely disagree w/ u about the context thing concerning that word, in particular. I will never be desensitized to it---EVER! No offense to u at all. It's just a huge pet peeve for me. However, on the thing about the word "bitch", I totally get that.

tranny chasers are terrible. I am also offended by the word. to like someone based one quality, as you said, is disgusting. My neighbors are suddenly infatuated by transguys.
