Using Maria Grossi, Metodo per Arpa, p.3
Muscle memory finger exercises.
Beginners learn the hands alone first
Play very slowly
Fingers downward
Thumbs upward
Play in the middle of the harp strings
Constantly check your finger, hand, wrist, arm, elbow, back, shoulder, neck , leg, and feet positions!
RELAX
Don't force any motions that hurt!
Use NO exaggerated or extreme positions.

  • Thank you Mary! I hope it helps some people. I know if you are a beginner and need something, at least this is a start. Teachers are expensive. Nothing like a profesional teacher though!
