Toyota is doing boring WEC/Le Mans. Subaru has a 1.6T boxer engine from Cosworth, and need something to put it in. New WRX/STi will come in a couple of years, and it won't be badged as an Impreza. Subaru is also eyeing the WTCC, but that isn't likely.

@mackensie2212 Toyota no, w/Subaru there have been rumors they are going to do a big motorsports push when next STI comes out, but nothing firm yet. Subaru is still big player in rally everywhere but WRC. Keeping next years championship in mind, none of the top drivers will commit to VW until after 2012 as they would spend all of'12 testing and lose a chance at being 2012 champ. Best bets at coming into WRC are Peugot, Kia/Hyundai (already have veloster rallyX car), Vauxhal/Chevrolet(Brazil).
