A Florida theme park is apologizing to a St. John's woman who was told to cover up while she breastfed her daughter or leave the premises.

Cheryl Cruz said she was shaken by an encounter on Tuesday while she was breastfeeding her 10-month-old child, Kalli, on a bench at the Universal Studios park in Orlando.

  • This is such a controversial subject but it really needs to be addressed. Breastfeeding is a protected right that mothers and babies have. Lets be honest. We often see more skin than is exposed during breastfeeding at any grocery store during the summer. I've even seen more skin exposed sometimes at church.

I also want to point out how inappropriate it is to ask a woman to go to the restroom to breastfeed. I wouldn't expect anyone to eat their lunch by a toilet. It's unsanitary.

  • spitbully-you are an idiot,i am a 40 year old man,not a child,i do not have kids, just had to set that record strait, now what the world is wrong with you people, men have nipples, women have nipples, would you tell me what the difference is,i would not want to eat in a bathroom, would you?i would commend a women for feeding there child before it starts to cry and make a fusse.

  • And yes, while I recognize that ppl should grow up and see that breast are how a human mother feeds her young, of course I see other women's breast as well as my own breast, as sexual.

From a pro-public BF woman POV, the demonstrations, themselves, are fine, but IMO, a few of the participants have a chip on their shoulder & rave up ppl passing by exposing as of their breast as possible, w/ the goal to make the uncomfortable, more uncomfortable, w/o creating advantage to their babies to feed. Is that suppose to build up tolerance? Those few are just making a spectacle out of their babies. Never seen indecent exposure of a woman BF until I saw demonstrations.

  • @jodee934

You are exaggerating and over looking the point of my comment. Don't put words into my mouth. (Why are most of us women that way?) I NEVER said BF was dirty or indecent. I've never seen indecent exposure while a woman was BF, outside of demonstrations. I NEVER said that I was against BF. I feel that its VERY important. Any comment that is an "in between" comment is going to get flagged by ppl like you and then you manage to flip everything said upside down.

...after looking everywhere for a sandwich b/c he verbally and physically abused anyone who tried to feed him his dinner..... I took the time to talk to him. I knew he was in the war so I did my best not to scare him at night. I'd turn on his bathroom light instead of flipping on his overhead light, speed walking into his room and throwing his sheets back. I'm not the one. Don't EVER accuse ppl of doing crap like that. Thats not something cute to joke about or to say just.

The man I took care of was a homeless man. He was a war vetern and had a neat job I would have never guessed. How did I know that? B/c even though he called really terrible names and had kick me in the chest while I was changing his soiled linen or had spit in my face multiple times while changing his brief or gown b/c I refused to skip rounds and leave him in a mess, or yelled at me like he was my POW & I was about to beat him, after...

  • @jodee934

Apparently, you have not taken care of a mentally ill resident, who fights everyone, particular ethnic looking people (I'm Black), b/c they think you are a "F*cking Japanese fly on the wall" or a "N*gger". I'm a sweet person, and I like helping people. Its too bad that someone like you who is a CNA can't sympathize w/ the reality of being a CNA. Reality: The ppl you take care of don't always appreciate you, but that's ok, you know you are doing right by them.

  • @jodee934

    I do. Its relaxing.

  • @spitzbully Why on earth should they prepare a bottle when they have breasts? My car doesn't have air conditioning, I've never owned a car that did. Even if it did have air conditioning I would feed my son wherever he needed to eat. Do you believe in God? Do you have any idea how absolutely ridiculous he would think you are being over breasts? He created those breasts for you to feed babies, not to hide because you think they are only for your husband.

  • @ladyEulaelie Seriously why are you afraid of breasts? Are they weapons of mass destruction? Are they trying to get your kids to do drugs? Are they a rapist hiding in your bedroom? They are for FEEDING BABIES FOR CRAPSAKE! What is dirty or indecent about feeding a baby? Do you see your breasts and all other women's breasts as that sexual?

  • @jessimo1985 Haha yes someone please pop a breast in ladyEulaelie's mouth so she stops with this ridiculous and irrational temper tantrum!!!
