A growing number of Americans looking to retire in Nicaragua are buying up its relatively cheap real estate.

Al Jazeera's Teresa Bo reports from Grenada on how their desire to live abroad comes at a price for ordinary locals from the central American country.

But, where did he get the idea to sell for $40,000? If it weren't for the greedy gringo real estate developers, the asking price would be much less. The gringos are buying for pennies and selling for hundreds of thousands of dollars. So, what are the locals to do who are ripped off by the capitalist gringos? The problem isn't the local folks in Granada. Again, it's the mind-set of the foreign real estate developers. THEY are the ones that are creating the problem in Nicaragua.

I feel bad for this country. My parents were born in Nicaragua but both agree that the Nicaraguan lifestyle pales in comparison to the one in the States. I have never seen a successful Nicaraguan in Miami, most are uneducated construction workers or illegals. Not all of course, but many of them are under priveledge and of low income.

@andyfrankvideos Yeah I kinda figured that I was just saying EVERYBODY calls it NIGGERagua, but the NIGGERS get the most laughs out of it cos it sounds funny to them. I know White folks, Asian folks, even some NIGGERaguans who call it that. It's an unfortunate play on words that my country can be pronounced that way.

I don't think the Nicaraguan power structure will let the gringos have the REAL strongholds, like Masaya or Diriamba. Let them have Granada and San Juan del Sur where they can live their fantasies, when they start killing more Nicaraguan girls like Eric Volz did we'll have our Iranian friends ready with a nuke pointed at Barry O's nigger ass.
