i found the problem with my motor...but thanks guys for the help it was a factory defect :/ i sent the carb back to edelbrock and they found that something went horrible wrong with the float or something of that sort...it got to the point to where it would barley idle in order for it to idle the throttle had to be wide open and it would only rev to 950 rpm!...but again thanks for the help and advice,it's much appericated! :)

@addictedtos10s what make is your carb? i had that problem in my nova. Some older carbs or dirty carbs will get a dead spot in them with will cause them to die or fall flat on its face before it will want to work right. Mine i would be driving and i would punch it and the carb would flatten out and then the car would take of like a bat outta hell.. In my case it was the carb so check that man.

@addictedtos10s if you havent already found the problem you could try replacing your catalytic converter. My truck had that problem and that solved it instantly, just cut the whole exhaust off.

what is that hesitation?i have the same thing but my motor is totally different than yours i have a summit racing street/strip cam with a matched edelbrock intake 600 cfm crab and everything is brand new but when i really nail it it falls on it's face,and sometimes it'll die and be hard to start

till u the truth... idk we got the motor used for a $ 1.000 bucks, from carb to oil pan , flywheel to pulleys, lol from what i can till it has world heads holley intake, holley DP carb, built th400 B&M stall etc...
