Engine start on the Mayocraft P-26D. Famed test pilot Dave Morss cranks over the 1340 cu. in Pratt and Whitney (P&W) for its June 7 and 8 , 2008, date with destiny: an air-to-air photo mission one mile up in the skies over Fitchburg, Mass. The big nine cylinder radial fires up without a moment's hesitation. This 99 percent scale P-26 "tribute" by Mayocraft has completed its final flight assessment regime including aerobatics and full gross weight performance.
