The start of a quarter peal of Plain Bob Major for evensong at St David, Bangor, Gwynedd. The bells are a Mears & Stainbank ring of 1888 and still on most of their original fittings - they're getting rather tricky these days but I do like them. The tenor is 13-1-21 in F#.

  • sound pretty good!

  • @KDowner94 Yes they are not bad at all, I must say in some respects these are one of my favourite eights - partly 'cos Bangor was one of my home towers for nearly 6 years, but also because they have loads of character, as anyone who's ever rung there will say... hopefully they will be rehung in the next few years, they need it.

  • what a lovely start there tim. very nice ringing. i might have to ry and grab these next time i'm up there. 26th of june i'm comeing up again for five days

  • @pal05pmajor3 let me know nearer the time and I'll check there is ringing on. Ringing in the holidays can be a bit sporadic! But they'd be very pleased to see you either on Thursday evening or 9.10 on Sunday mornings I'm sure.
