@roger8654 You obviously havent watched the movie or just dont really understand the meaning it had to the many people who did. It was such a touching love story hey maybe some did want it to win because of what you said, but for alot of others, it was because the movie showed a struggle between two PEOPLE who loved each other but fear and society held them back. Its touching because its so real, and just so haunting.

@axelaxelmcr i get it, it makes a difference if its about homosexuals. I'd still react the same to the film if its about a man and a woman because i treat homsexuals as ordinary people. The story is deep but for a story about the two cowboys that spans about 20 years, its too artsy for it that adds no specialty to it. So bamanck is right, Brokeback Mountain is ovverrated.

the only reason people wanted BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN to win was because gay couples, we all know how tolerant people want to be of gay couples. if it wasnt about a gay cowboy they're wouldnt be a problem that crash won, honestly crash to me was way better

@bamanck & thats the reason BB should´ve won the oscar...its about homosexuals...right!...its a deep story?...yes...its polemical?...yes...it have changed the way of thinking about homosexuality in people? yes, its revolutionary?..yes...so.. sorry.. is not overrated.

I think Brokeback deserved it because it was so deep. The fact that they were two men adds a plot twist but if a movie this good were made between a man and a woman I think it still would have deserved to win. In this movie the characters were very real and I could understand their emotion. Most love stories are not like that for me.

Brokeback deserved the oscar! But if any movie was worth the oscar that year apart from BM it was Munich, not Crash!!! Crash was lame in many aspects. Only some American critics saw Crash as a great film. It was so basic
