BTW the percussionist made one or two mistakes (missed notes), but it ain't easy running around playing all those instruments and also trying to stay in synch. The pianist has it easy.

Snare drum, Upside-down bongo with beans inside (swirled around), Guiro, 4 tuned wood blocks, 4 tuned tom-toms
3 tuned wooden tom-toms with plywood replacing skin, Suspended cymbal, Hi-hat, Small tam-tam, 4 tuned cowbells, 12 Antique cymbals (chromatic scale), 2 African log drums (2 pitches each: I tried to perform this, couldn't find these anywhere), Marimba, Triangle, Sleigh bells, Bamboo Wind Chimes, Gong and Large Tam-tam (in center of stage -- played by percussionist AND pianist)

terrfying. but i love it. i can understand why some would hate this. but he said he was from a star so this is muic from another planet. bits of messiaen can also be heard in his (his teacher) mainly flickers of piano.
