Wonderful!

@Baritanist what a stupid comment. If he had a constricted voice, how could he reach High Ds live? You need to have an open and free sound to get to those highs. If the technique wasn't perfect, he couldn't have sung until he was 70 years old, singing high notes that would have embarrassed many tenors on their twenties.

If you are pretending to be an expert, can you at least get an aria's name right?

Its a matter of taste which top tenor you prefer. I love Kraus in "Porquille me revellier" (certain recordings of it).
But sometimes he sings to much through his nose (nasal) for my taste. Also Sergein Lemeshev sometimes did this too much (nasal singing). But in Lensky´s aria Lemeshev is perfect!
To bad Bjorling never recorded Werther though. Sometimes rumor says that a recording lies hidden somewhere collecting dust. But there simply is no such recording.

Terribly constricted and nasal voice.

WOW! I just listened to Pavarotti 1969 (with Freni) and this is MUCH better (vocally, stylistically). He just has a problem, I don't know if it's a mannerism or a weakness, but he slurs upwards on some notes, and the voice doesn't seem to follow as quickly as the intention.
