@vavafilho we're all Americans either way any of us look at it(if that's what your really saying). I don't look down on anyone from anywhere, we all have the ability to change the world in some shape or form, or at least impact another life whether we realize this or not, rich or poor. I admire Bahians like Astrud and Caetano and others like Djavan and Hermeto Pascoal, they've used their art to inspire others. Your country has beautiful people...

I don't know if I made myself clear, but I didn't make any comment regarding your compliment to Lenine. By the way, I totally agree with It. What I was trying to highlight is the way some "estadunidenses" - including you (if you are so) - utilize the term "America" to refer to the EUA, whereas it (America) is the name of a continent wich also includes Brazil. To sum up, it was just a provocative comment from a brazilian, born in the northeast, writing from Bahia...

@vavafilho uh, last time I checked, Lenine was from the Northeastern side of Brazil, and migrated to Rio to be discovered for his incredible talent. What I meant by "we need this in America" is that our music mainstream wise has gotten extremely commercial and corrupt over the years to recent times, don't get me wrong, there's still good talent to be had here, but there rarely heard on radio(EVER) or on television. When I said this country has some of the greatest artists ever, I meant it! Bye!
