Origami Praying Mantis (Robert J. Lang) - Not a Tutorial

Just folded another model from the book Origami Insects II, by Robert J. Lang. This Praying Mantis is complex and more detailed than the previous praying mantis shown on my channel (link below). The legs are very very thin, so use tissue-foil to fold this model!

My paper: Tissue Foil, 35cm x 35cm
Time spent: approx. 2h 30min

@Ch0rZuS1 Isso depende do origami... Para insetos e outros complexos tissue foil é o melhor. Em geral gosto bastate do Tant também

That would be the mantis from "origami insects and their kin". The mantis shown is from "origami insects II" by the same author. The model to which you link is a bit more primitive than this one, but it is also nice, and is considerably easier.

i used home made tissue foil for mine and the body still came out thick i reckon tracing paper might be better for this model! your one seems to be fine how did you get the body so slender?
